If packing the drawers in your dresser seems like a big task, you can make it easier by simply leaving everything inside. Wrap each drawer in heavy-duty plastic wrap, and be sure that the wrap is secure and tightly placed over the top of each drawer. You can then slide the drawers back into the dresser for easy moving. Wrap the entire dresser in plastic wrap as well. This will keep the drawers in place while also protecting your furniture from damage.

Visit Your Local Grocery Or Liquor Store

You can get lots of great used boxes from your local grocery or liquor store, and some of them can be downright perfect for packing. Ask for boxes used to transport wine or liquor bottles, and use these for packing up your kitchen. The individual compartments in these boxes are ideal for packing away coffee mugs, glasses, and other breakables from the kitchen. You can wrap each piece in tissue paper and place them in the individual compartments. Fill each box with packing peanuts when you are done for added protection. This saves a bit of time and takes some of the guesswork out of packing fragile items.

Invest In Shower Caddies

Shower caddies can be great options for packing in a hurry. They feature multiple compartments designed to hold shampoo bottles and soaps, which makes them perfect for packing a wide array of items you have in your home. In addition to packing up the toiletries in your bathroom, they can be used to organize and sort cleaning supplies, condiments, and even remote controls or video game accessories. Invest in several caddies, and pack them away in the boxes for the rooms they belong in. When you arrive in your new home, you can simply remove each caddy and place it in the designated room.
